Built by someone actually building with AI.
First Steps in AI is a content and education project run by the team at Nexus Found LLC — a small software company based in Cocoa, Florida.
Why this site exists
We got tired of AI content written by people who had never shipped anything real. The tutorials that assume you have a computer science degree. The hype articles that never explain how anything actually works. The "top 10 AI tools" lists from people who tested each tool for 15 minutes.
We started First Steps in AI to document what we're actually building — with honesty about what works and what doesn't.
What we're building
Our primary product is SendJob — a backend automation system built specifically for trades and field service businesses like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
SendJob handles the entire job lifecycle automatically: confirmation texts to customers, alerts to dispatchers, technician acceptance flows, enroute and onsite notifications, and payment collection at job completion. All through text messages. All automated.
We built it using n8n, Supabase, Twilio, Resend, and Stripe — and we built most of it by vibe coding with Claude. That experience is the backbone of everything we write here.
Who writes here
Content on this site is written by the founders and team at Nexus Found LLC. We use AI tools (including Claude and ChatGPT) as part of our writing and development process — and we're transparent about that. When AI helps write or outline something, we say so.
How we monetize (transparently)
We believe in being upfront about how this works. First Steps in AI earns money through:
- Affiliate links — when we recommend tools we actually use, some have affiliate programs
- Digital templates — downloadable automation blueprints and workflow templates
- Courses & guides — paid in-depth content for builders and business owners
- Lead generation — some readers become SendJob customers (we think that's fair)
We only recommend tools we use. We mark affiliate links. We don't run ads.
